In 1902 Emil Ebneter opens at the age of 20 years old his first licence in Appenzell and so lays the foundation for the renamed company Appenzeller Alpenbitter AG.
Today the company is ran by the 3rd generation of the family Ebneter. The recipe for the international known Appenzeller Alpenbitter that contains 42 several herbal is strictly kept safe.
The "Appenzeller Flaschengeist" is the Appenzeller Alpenbitter, produced after a 100 year old recipe with 42 herbal and 29 vol which gives the inimitable delicacy to this 100 % naturally produced bitter.
Brand new from Appenzeller are the "Appenzeller Stengli".
